柳楽優弥 - KYOKO

I could not help it but at some point of time, produce this small video.
It was actually recorded inside Japan.

柳楽優弥 (keyword)
But- I did not visit Japan because of 柳楽優弥.
Absolutely not. Or is it? Well some day yes I made this video.

I visited Tokyo, Mt Takao, Tama river, Akihabara, Shibuya, Osaka, Tottori pref. and Nara pref.,
one day travelling very close to Otsu on a motorway.

The bridge over the Tama river goes to the Yokohama side of Tokyo.
I don't think he lives there so what. I liked the place a lot, and even the photo I made
means a lot to me. I made a color print! It is close to where I sleep now.
Tama river Tokyo! I even saw Yokohama the day I arrived, but just driving through.

Dumped off most of my DVD collection recently. Less than 10 DVDs remaining, or about 10 DVDs.
Including his 3 movies: Nobody Knows, Shining boy and little Randy, as well All to the Sea.
Have not looked at them for quite a long while.

There is also Moonlight Rescue and Bakugan, still unwatched, remaining to watch one day.
I should maybe watch them soon, well, why not?

But descision making to travel to Japan was the high school teenage suicide incident two years ago.

(It really wanted me to visit and see this country and see it through my own eyes.)
It really made me to want visit and see this country...

There are various other reasons as well but normally, I wanted to go much later during 2013.

In life, you often make plans, and then reality is totally different, and then you do something somehow relating to these plans, and the result is totally different. Think again the original plan!

I saw two cemeteries: The Tama cemetery, and the Nippori cemetery. I went inside both.

I am not really fond of swimming or Soccer, I can not only eat meats but almost all japanese foods (raw fish), but I am actually not very fond of raw eggs. Call me Taka anyway. Well that is, some Americans started to call me Taka when I started to use the handle Takao21203 on the internet.

Here the pictures from Japan on photozou: http://photozou.jp/photo/show/292296/179177440

It is really just close to nothing. Some day, I went to a DVD store here in Dublin, and there was one copy of Nobody Knows, sitting around on the shelf, and kind of lonely. I picked it up without thinking even 10 seconds. Most of my time in Japan I had other worries, but one day I was browsing my youtube stuff. I do not think 柳楽優弥 and me have much in common. For instance I do not really like rock music. And I think luxury is kind of a social disease. Where it is argueable what is luxury and what is not. I brought a new watch from Japan from a 100 yen shop, that is about 80 Euro cents.

So, I actually totally did not visit Japan because of him I do not even think I am really his fan. Just a bit maybe I do not totally exclude that.

FM transmitter

ベイブレード

I have built an FM transmitter.

Previsouly I have built an AM transmitter but it never worked right, only very short distance.

http://cappels.org/dproj/FMXMTR/fmxmtr.htm

The design is somehow finicky, and does not work like shown. Adjustable resistor for the 330 Ohms, and 1K Ohms are essential.

As well, you need to tap the antenna with a gimmick capacitor.

  • It only works at the very end of the FM scale
  • There is still some noise contained. But with the indended frequency adjuster, it can be reduced.

Ideally if the frequency is set right, the circuit is sensible against tapping with a screwdriver. You will hear microphonic noise.

I have tested 10m distance so far!

Kids and Laughing Teachers Bullied Suicide Teen
By Akiko Fujita | ABC News – Fri, Jul 6, 2012

The suicide of a 13-year-old boy in southern Japan after classmates systematically bullied him - even making him "practice" suicide - while teachers ignored the abuse or laughed has prompted soul-searching among educators across the country.

One of the boy's last acts was to text his tormentors and leave voice mails for them to say, "I'm going to die." They texted him back to say, "You should die."

The middle school student, whose name has not been released, jumped from his 14 th floor apartment in the city of Otsu last October after enduring heartrending tales of abuse at the hands of his classmates.

His father filed several reports with the police, but officers never accepted them, saying that they could not prove that bullying led to his suicide, according to Japanese media reports.

Details of the harassment are coming to light eight months later, following a student survey conducted by the city's board of education. In that anonymous survey, students write the bullying escalated to "punching and kicking" in September last year, about a month before the teen jumped to his death. The victim was pressured into shoplifting, had his legs and arms tied while bullies duck-taped his mouth. Students watched as their peers pressured the teen into eating dead bees, "pantsed" him, and made him "practice" committing suicide.

In the survey, some classmates report alerting teachers to those "practices," but say nothing was done.

Instead, teachers reportedly laughed as bullies tried to choke the victim.

"He was forced to eat paper, students choked him. Teachers only gave a verbal warning, but then joined in on the bullying by laughing," comments in the survey read.

Today, the tearful mayor of Otsu, said that she would launch a new investigation into the teen's suicide to "seek the truth," calling the board's survey "inadequate."

"I feel awful I have to put students through this again," Naomi Koshi said. "I cannot apologize to the students enough."

Local media report Otsu has been bombarded with hundreds of calls and emails from angry parents since the bullying came to light on July 4. A bomb threat was called into the board Thursday, forcing students to go home early.

The teen's family has not commented publicly on the case since the new details surfaced, but in a letter sent to Koshi, the boy's father called on the mayor to "seek the truth" and come up with a new anti-bullying policy.

"I want bullying to disappear from every school in Japan," he wrote. "I want schools to become a safe place again."

USB gizmo...

1. USB Gizmo

It can show japanese characters! Individually programmed 5120 bits.

There is a software on the Windows PC side too.
Visual Studio C++ is used! It can link via USB.

2. Random images shown on my homepage

hitechworld.org

The redesign for my website is now completed.
I added a script to display a random picture each time.
This time, it is Streetfighter.

3. UCC Coffee

It is an old record from the year 1968!

AM ラジオ 送信機 - UCCコーヒーCM ポール・モーリア

AM radio transmitter! However it only has a very short range.

Pixiv contains beautiful illustration.
Even if there is the case, when I do not have a wish to participate.
Considering the social graces. What has become of Japan?
This is a question you can answer for yourself, when you browse Pixiv.
Maybe the main reason is overpopulation.
So, self destruction is a natural counter reaction.

How to use japanese language for LED matrix scrolling message tag

How can this be done?
It is not so easy, as the LED matrix does not understand UNICODE.

I have digitized japanese katakana font from a character LCD, about 5120 individual bits.
This exists as binary data inside the microcontroller.

I want to write the scrolling message on Windows PC, and transfer the text via USB.

There are many individual layers to work out here.
Some are already completed:

  • USB stack works
  • LED matrix multiplex works
  • Font data was programmed

I have added all the keys to a Windows form as pushbuttons.
Now I can change the button text to include the katakana symbol!
I also want to add the romanji spelling.

This is not so difficult to program, but a lot of detail work.
Visual Studio C++ is used here.
I moved the USB stack and the code to change the buttons into individual source files.

A PIC 18f13k50 is used. It has USB interface, 512 Bytes RAM, and 8K program memory.

Last not least: Cooky cooking on youtube + fake Belgian cartoons!
Which I have not read of course. But recently I found this in form of so called street art.

Isn't that much interesting in terms of cooking- actually.

I have redesigned my homepage: http://hitechworld.org

There are now image galleries added. Flickr costs too much money, and they also host content
which I am not interested in.

The source code for the standard LED scrolling message tag was made available (english language font).
